Panthers Strengthen Secondary with Signing of Rams Safety

The Carolina Panthers are strengthening their defensive backfield with a new addition.

Jordan Fuller, previously with the Los Angeles Rams, has agreed to a one-year, $5.2 million deal with the Panthers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

After meeting with the Panthers on Friday, Fuller quickly reached an agreement, bringing his talents to Carolina.

What makes this signing even more intriguing is Fuller’s history with Panthers’ defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Evero coached Fuller during his time with the Rams, which could lead to a seamless transition into Carolina’s defensive scheme.

Fuller’s arrival addresses a need in the Panthers’ secondary, especially after the departure of key players in free agency. With his knack for making plays, evidenced by his three interceptions in the 2023 season, Fuller adds depth and skill to the Panthers’ defensive unit.
